AT LAST: my unnamed mead is getting bottled
About a year and a half ago, I made a random mead because I felt like doing so, and today I got the urge to bottle it. Its looking good, everything has dropped out of suspension to give way to a classic honey amberish color, with a very floral and *obviously* honeyish aroma.
Also going to bottle some of Dave's wedding beer to see what its like carbonated...just a couple bottles, nothing too crazy.
Tasted Pineapple Express today as well, and the diacetyl has subsided a little bit just in the last couple months that I havn't tried it. Also, I noticed a thin pellicle forming on the beer inside the bottles. We bottled because there was no evidence of pediococcus making its crusty trash available in the pineapple batch, guess we should have given it just a couple more months to show itself. Oh well, the pellicle will crash one of these days and we'll have an even more interesting beer on our hands! HAH! TAKE THAT, NATURE!
No plans to bottle the kraken second runnings as of yet, that goes for old hootnanny as well. Chris' "I drank with vikings" batches are still chugging away, after a firm agitation of the sediment in his dark ale.
WE WILL HAVE MERCH SOON!!!!!
All of your favorite labels will be on clothing and you WILL buy it because you like our brewery!
Thanks to Doug for editing the label art and making it clothing ready!
More to come soon.
